What is it like to be a trophy whore?
It’s both exciting and depressing at the same time, on one
hand you feel like a junkie wanting his next fix, wanting to hear that *ping*
of a trophy alert that tells you that you have achieved something. But much
like many drugs there is a darker side, you find yourself fixated, unable to
focus on anything other than your next trophy, you find yourself scrapping the
bottom of the barrel to get that fix.
So, this is why I am writing this blog, I want you all to
come with through the highs and lows of my platinum collection of Playstation
Trophies.
First off I am going to tell you my latest goal. As of time
of writing I have 27 platinum trophies, I will be telling the stories of how I
got these platinum’s in later editions of this blog. I also 3949 trophies in total.
Around January time of 2015 I decided that I wanted my 4000th trophy
to be a platinum, but I wanted it to be one I was extremely proud of, after
much debate I decided on GTA 5.
I had played the game a lot on PS3, but had hardly touched
it after I got my PS4, and then of course the PS4 version came out so I double
dipped. I used Playstationtrophies.org a lot for my trophy guides, and I will
always asses a game I think I can platinum by using their guides and difficulty
ranking.
GTA 5 is a very easy game to platinum, but as with most of
the games I go for, its not the difficulty that stumps me it’s the time it
takes. There have been some which I could platinum but they would simply take
too long to achieve so I leave them.
At time of writing I am two away from the platinum, get to
level 100 on GTA Online, and Spend 15 hours in first person. The last few weeks
I have been playing lots of GTA Online to get closer to the platinum, but right
now I can now slow down. The reason being I have 27 plats, and now I need to
focus on getting plat 28 and 29 before I complete GTA 5.
I will say my goodbyes now and get cracking on those
trophies.

I have decided to merge my first two posts together to make things easier.
PLATINUM # 28 - FIFA 15
Number 28 is FIFA 15, I managed to plat FIFA 14 within about 3 weeks, yet 15 has proven quite tricky simply over 2 trophies. Clear the ball off the line with a defender and score from the floor, both are stupidly difficult and are purely down to luck which are THE worst trophies ever.
Other than the 2 trophies which are stupid, FIFA 15 has been quite easy, in many ways much easier than 14, and it should have been a game I completed a lot earlier. I do enjoy my time on FIFA, it requires very little thought or time to play. When I feel like just a quick 10/15 minute game on the PS4 then FIFA delivers.
So how do I go about these two troublesome trophies? I have tried to do them solo, I even tried to do them with a friend online but no luck. That same friend has agreed to come to mine on a Friday night when my long suffering better half goes to visit her gran with her dad and our son.
Fingers crossed for me friends, will update with pictures if we manage to achieve these, however I do actually have another three to do, but they are no were as stupid as the other two.

Update 1
The Above didn’t happen, however I decided to try share play
instead. And thankfully it was only for one of the two as at the weekend of 25th
June I unlocked the Keepers Best Friend trophy!
So tonight we shall try and get the extra effort trophy.
